Clinical Background
Carla graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2007 and has worked predominantly within the NHS throughout her career.
For most of this time, she has specialised in respiratory physiotherapy, working across a variety of settings including intensive care, respiratory wards, and community services. Her main areas of expertise are supporting people living with chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, and breathing pattern disorders.
Throughout her career, Carla has delivered pulmonary rehabilitation and other exercise-based interventions, helping people improve their fitness, confidence, and quality of life. More recently, she has expanded her practice to include paediatric respiratory physiotherapy.
Respiratory health is where Carla’s true passion lies. To further develop her knowledge and skills, she has completed an MSc module in Physical Assessment of Cardiac and Respiratory Systems, a Level 7 qualification in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, and the ARTP Spirometry Certification.

Approach
Carla believes that every person is unique, and that effective treatment starts with understanding the individual behind the symptoms.
Drawing on her extensive respiratory experience, she provides a thorough and personalised assessment to identify each client’s needs and goals. She takes the time to listen carefully and understand how symptoms affect everyday life, as she believes this is essential in developing a successful treatment plan.
Her aim is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that helps her clients feel more confident, capable, and in control of their health.
Outside the clinic
When she’s not working, you’ll usually find Carla outdoors. She loves being active and making the most of the fresh air, whether that’s cycling, swimming, or walking her dogs along the Sussex coast and countryside.
